Saboten started serving tonkatsu in 1966 from thier Shinjuku location. They now run over 450 different restaurant and deli locations nationwide. They pride themselves in being a top tonkatsu brand offering family style service and original tastes.

  • Saboten is a very typical, standard tonkatsu chain. Their price and quality is in line with Wako, another tonkatsu chain. And like Wako, they also serve their tonkatsu with sesame, which you grind to your liking, and free refills on their cabbage and rice. The tonkatsu is good though, despite being very typical.
